About this session:
AI is rapidly transforming the way organizations operate, but how can nonprofits and mission-driven organizations ensure these advancements truly serve underserved communities, including people with disabilities? This event will explore how AI can be a force for social good, helping organizations enhance inclusivity, accessibility, and equitable technology adoption.

We’re excited to welcome Alex Tveit, Emerging Technology Fellow at Community Foundations of Canada, whose work bridges AI innovation, public engagement, and digital equity. Through his leadership at organizations like MaRS Discovery District, BrainTrainr, and the Sustainable Impact Foundation, Alex focuses on creating AI-driven solutions that empower marginalized communities, improve accessibility, and support more inclusive decision-making.

Why Attend?

  • AI & Accessibility: Explore how AI is reshaping assistive technologies and inclusive innovation, ensuring people with disabilities have greater access to digital solutions.
  • AI for Community Impact: Learn how AI is driving change in public engagement, equity-focused initiatives, and community-centered projects.
  • Practical AI Adoption for Nonprofits & Social Enterprises: Discover actionable strategies for using AI responsibly, ensuring technology aligns with organizational missions while maintaining ethical and inclusive practices.
  • Breaking Barriers in AI Access: Address the challenges of digital equity, ensuring that communities who need AI the most have the tools and knowledge to benefit from it.

Who is it aimed at?
This session is designed for nonprofit leaders, accessibility advocates, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the social impact space looking to understand how AI can drive meaningful, equitable change.
