Topic: Microservices & APIs

Join to ask your Cloud Native, DevOps and containers questions to subject matter experts from Azure Engineering. FastTrack for Azure is here to help customers as they plan, design, build, deploy and run their workloads on Azure.

What is in Cloud Native AMA scope?

NOTE: The focused topic for 5 December 2023 is Containers. For the pilot if time permits, we can also cover some DevOps questions.

In this pilot, the weekly AMAs will focus on Cloud Native topics and rotate between the following technologies:

  • Containers

    • Best practices, architecture, and application development
    • Azure container solutions, especially Azure Container Apps (ACA), Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Web App for Containers, Azure Container Registry, and Defender for Containers.
  • DevOps

    • CI/CD Automation including DevSecOps concepts and best practices
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including ARM, Bicep, and Terraform
    • GitHub and Azure DevOps

Please note this is a public forum. Customers are asked to prepare their questions in advance in a way that is compliant with their organization's rules.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the AMA session format?
Customers can ask about broad topics like best practices, specific "how do I…" questions, or even ask for advice for a specific problem they are currently dealing with. Customers will receive explanations from engineers in real time, which may include whiteboarding, links to relevant Azure documentation, Azure samples, etc.

Who can attend?
Anyone who registers for the Webinar can attend.

Do I need to have an active FastTrack project to attend?
No. Any Azure customer can attend.

Can I attend to just listen?
Yes, you can.

What is the Azure engineers cannot answer my question?
This is a free forum where engineers will answer on a best effort basis. As needed engineers may offer a follow-up in a future AMA, which gives the engineer opportunity to research or arrange for an additional SME. Some customers may be asked to direct their questions to Azure support.

Can I ask a question outside the session scope?
Each AMA is organized and staffed with subject matter experts for the session scope, i.e. cloud native. Consider searching all upcoming FastTrack events to find a scope that matches your question.

What if there are no customer questions?
The session will still take place. Our engineers also have prepared topics or scenarios customers can choose for a walkthrough, discussion, etc.
